From 1985, Rev. Walker has served in ministry in various capacities and has had a passion for teaching people how to apply the Word of God in their everyday lives. Currently, he is a member of the faculty of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc., Congress of Christian Education in the Department of Theology. He was Vice Moderator of the Progressive Baptist District, and First Vice President of the Progressive District's Christian Education Department, in Cleveland.

Presently, he is serving his second term as a precinct committeeman for the Democratic party in Warrensville Heights, and the Cuyahoga County's Democratic Party's Executive Committee.

Rev. Walker retired from the City of Cleveland, Division of Police, as a Chief Dispatcher, after 31 years. He is now employed as a manager at Calhoun Funeral Home.

Since coming to St. John Baptist Church, he has been working with Lake County Officials on the "Begin the Conversation" Committee.

Rev. Walker is happily married to Mary A. Walker for the past 42 years, and the proud father of two children and the grandfather of two.

One of his favorite scriptures is Galatians 2:20.

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
